The Company, Munch Bowls (Pty) Ltd, since 2014 are the original producers of the edible, wholesome crisp wheat bowl, known as Munch Bowls. The edible bowls are an eco-friendly green alternative to toxic wasteful plastic and polystyrene food containers. We are passionate about helping to reduce our carbon footprint.

The Product

  • We take great care to produce quality edible wholesome products, ensuring a top quality brand internationally
  • The edible crisp wheat bowls are able to hold any foods even hot soups for more than 5 hours, maintaining it's crispness and shape

Tastes great, no waste !


  • 15 months and more if kept sealed in a cool dry place.
  • If needed to restore crispness, place in oven for 3 - 5 minutes at 70° - 100° C
    (158° - 212° F)


  • 250ml Bowl, 100ml Saucer and 30ml Canape in Plain and Sweet flavours
  • 100ml Saucer – perfect fit for a burger patty and to bake a quiches and tarts

Tips & Ideas

  • Make sure that the bowl is not cracked when serving soup or very moist food in a munch bowl.
  • Store bowls sealed in a cool dry place.
  • If needed to freshen-up or restore crispness, place in oven for 3-5 minutes at 70° - 100° C (158° - 212° F)
  • If the bowl has not been eaten simultaneously with the dished food, then finish the balance of the bowl with tasty dips.
  • Great for picnics.... no extra bread or plates needed.
  • Great for Mexican evenings or kiddies parties... no dishes, no detergents, no waste!
  • Dip top of sweet bowl in melted chocolate or paint inside with melted chocolate.
  • Bake quiches or tarts in the 100ml saucers
  • Should you need to make the bowl last for up to 6 day’s, paint the inside of the bowl with soft butter before filling with cold food
